I disagree

As it is another Sunday with nothing being reported even if it might be happening somewhere in the world, I have just been sitting around thinking things over (I did work in the garden for a while so it wasn’t a complete loss). Anyway, thinking things over I have concluded there is not one single thing McCain thinks we should do that I agree with. Nothing. He wants to kick Russia out of G8, a truly stupid idea and probably impossible. He wants to attack Iran, an idea so horrible in its consequences it makes you wonder if he is actually sane. He insists we should drill for oil offshore. I disagree entirely. The only possible purpose to be served by that would be further enriching the oil companies who already have millions of acres at their disposal they haven’t even tapped. Furthermore, more drilling will just help to maintain our dependence on oil when we should be turning to alternative energy sources such as wind, solar, hydro, and etc. He is in favor of nuclear energy. I am violently opposed. I believe nuclear energy is the worst possible source of power. It’s expensive and the taxpayers would have to pay for it. It’s dangerous. There is no way to dispose of the waste (short of shipping it to Russia or burying it somewhere in Idaho, perhaps the only two places stupid enough to even consider such a thing). McCain wants to lower taxes, or at least keep the current tax breaks of the Bush administration. He is opposed to any new taxes, a truly ridiculous idea given that our national debt is booming out of control, our infrastructure, schools, and health care are all suffering, and so on. He was all in favor of going to ‘war’ with Iraq, the worst foreign policy blunder of the U.S. probably ever. And he wants a permanent presence there which is in my opinion another stupid idea, if not impossible given the Iraqis do not want us there. He wants to suspend the federal gas tax for the summer to give citizens a break from high prices, a plan that, again, will only benefit the oil industry and will probably save one tank of gas over the summer. Obama, on the other hand, wants to impose a windfall tax on the oil companies (that are making obscene profits) and give money to the voters, which makes perfect sense to me. His solution to the problem of our inner cities is to have a kind of military surge based upon the presumed success of the surge in Iraq (did he get this idea from Mussolini?). Does he remember what country he lives in? He accuses Obama of playing the race card when he is the guilty one in that respect. He says Obama is risky when he is almost surely far more risky. He is running a purely negative campaign which I believe is outrageous, and tries to justify it because he is losing (the ends justify the means?). He claims he knows how to win wars, but I cannot imagine what wars he might have won. He claims he knows what the American people want even though fully 80% or more think we’re on the wrong track, the very track he wishes to continue. He has no viable plan for health care, for our economic problem, or anything else other than attacking Obama. He says the MSM favor Obama when the truth is quite the opposite. He is, in short, in my opinion, wrong about absolutely everything. I cannot ever remember any time in the past when there was a candidate without a single idea I might be able to support. Thus I am bewildered by the fact that there are apparently those who will support him, and that he is apparently running close to Obama in the polls. This strikes me as highly unusual if not impossible. I wonder if the Brafia, including its Supreme Court, along with the MSM, are deliberately keeping the polls close because if they told the truth it would be more difficult for them to steal another election? Such is the way my mind works after eight years of the pathological lying Bush/Cheney administration. I cannot, and do not, believe anything they say.

Contrary to the elite academic attitude of your blog, people in Idaho are not stupid and we are removing the waste.
